Joseph Taylor Huber, 23, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away surrounded by his loving and supporting family on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Joseph was born on February 27th, 2002 in Northern Iowa to loving parents Angie (Daily) and Joe Huber. Joseph grew up in St. Joseph alongside his younger sister, Destiny Huber. Not only was he a great son, he was an incredible Big Brother as he took that role very seriously! He had a big heart, a big ego, and even bigger dreams!!! Joseph was about to begin his senior year at NWMSU.

Joseph discovered his talent of playing guitar at the age of 5, when he began guitar lessons. He practiced relentlessly to become the very accomplished guitar player, leading him to perform at several talent shows, at the church on the worship team, and several other special occasions. Most recently he created his own album as part of a class assignment, consisting of the songs that he wrote and recorded himself, at NWMSU.

Beyond playing  the guitar, Joseph loved to write music, play as a percussionist, golf, celebrating the Christmas holiday, watching Hallmark Movies, being a Star Wars geek and playing video games online. Joseph attended Grace Calvary Chapel with his family.  While attending college at NWMSU he was employed with Applebee's working as a server.

On January 6th, 2026 a hero honor walk was held for Joseph at Mosaic Life Care. Attending were his family, dear friends, and the staff of Mosaic Life Care. Joseph heroically committed to being an Organ Donor, extending his kindness and generosity through organ/tissue donation.

Joseph is survived by his parents Joe and Angie Huber, sister Destiny Huber, grandparents Morris and Charlene Allsbury, Charlene Huber, and Bill Daily, aunts and uncles, Christie (Huber) and Doug Ottinger, Matt and Kristi Daily, cousins Jonathan, Duncan, Eli, and Ella. Additional survivors include many extended family and dear friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joe E. Huber.

The family has entrusted Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel with the arrangements.

Services for Joseph will be held at Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel at 3609 Frederick Ave in St. Joseph, Missouri. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11th, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 12th, 2026 at 5:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Dan Blakely.

Cremation will take place following the funeral services.

Those attending services are encouraged to wear the color red, as that was Joseph's favorite color.
