Maysville, Missouri….Okal Oneal Hunt, age 93, was born April 25, 1930 in Smithville the son of Clarence Joshua and Hazel Mildred (Randall) Hunt and passed away peacefully with his family at his side on March 30, 2024.
Okal and Clara Evelyn Arnold were united in marriage December 24, 1955, at Winnwood Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. To this union three sons were born. Okal faithfully served in the United States Army from 1953-1955 during Korea. After getting out of the Army, Okal began farming. He grew tobacco, row crops, and many kinds of livestock. He retired from the Missouri State Highway Department.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Frances Springs, Clarence Hunt, Jr., Virginia Lee Mulkey, Mary Ruth, Mildred Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Patti L. Hunt.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Clara; three sons, Arnold (fiancee, Lorraine Holt) Hunt, Brian (Linda) Hunt, Carl (Beverly Sue) Hunt; brother, Marlin Hunt; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Cremation under the direction of Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville.
