The North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program, known as NCR-SARE, currently has four grant programs open for farmers, ranchers, researchers, educators and agricultural organizations. The grants are designed to support projects that improve farm profitability, natural resource stewardship and quality of life in rural communities. Funding is available across 12 states in the North Central region, including Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska and surrounding states.
The four programs now accepting applications are the Research and Education Grant Program, the Partnership Grant Program, the Youth Educator Grant Program and the Farmer Rancher Grant Program. All four programs have a December 3rd deadline at noon Central time. NCR-SARE is also offering informational webinars during the week of October 13th to help applicants learn more about each program and the application process. The program is funded through USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
