3 Missouri teens injured after car strikes a fence

MERCER COUNTY—Three teens were injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Wednesday in Mercer County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Chevrolet Impala driven by 16-year-old girl from Newton was westbound on Route E four miles south of Princeton.

The driver failed to negotiate a curve. The car skidded off the north side of the road and struck a fence. Mercer County EMS transported the driver and two 15-year-old female passengers from Newton to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
