Jerry Collins, 82, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 in St. Joseph.
He was born May 8, 1943 in Portland, OR, son of the late Virginia and Herschel Collins. He opened his own business, Jerry's Auto Upholstery, and he took a lot of pride in what he did. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and always loved horses.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dwaine, wife, Judy Collins, sister, Virginia Piverall, and brothers, Albert, Don "Bob", Karl, Bill, Dick, and Jim. Survivors include: long time partner, Lela Thomas of the home, daughters, Jera, Lora (Jim), and Tonya, sons, Todd (Connie) and Dennis (Jennifer), brother, John (Phyllis) Collins, sisters, Mary Hicks, Pat Baker, and Joyce (Dean) McMichael, 13 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, March 6, 2026 at Rupp Funeral Home. Mr. Collins has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home.
