David Lee Clevenger, 75, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
He was born August 7, 1949 in Maryville, Missouri to Thoedore and Thelma (Kime) Clevenger.
David proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Mary Pankiewicz on May 27, 1972. She preceded him in death on February 5, 2022.
David was a production scheduler for 14 years at Sherwood Medical until it closed, then was a veterans employment representative at the Missouri Career Center for 11 years before retirement.
He was a longtime member of Central Christian Church, often saying that “It's the grace and mercy of the Lord that keeps me going.”
David loved his dogs and taking them on walks.
He was the best dad a man could ever ask for, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Mary; his parents; and a sister, Shirley Clevenger.
Survivors include his son, Mark Clevenger; grandchildren, Phoenox and Nova Huffman Clevenger, Rivalry, Gabriel, and Arial Clevenger; nieces, Sherry Siu; brother-in-law, Steve Pankiewicz (Joyce); and extended family, Demarcus Bushrod (Lazion Hernandez).
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Friday, Central Christian Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
