NODAWAY COUNTY—A Missouri woman was injured and later arrested after an accident that occurred Sunday evening in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ford Explorer driven by Taylor R. Coffelt, 24, Ravenwood, was westbound on U.S. 136 west of Neon Road one and one half miles west of Ravenwood.
The SUV traveled off the north side of the road, started skidding and the driver overcorrected. The SUV returned to the road, traveled off the south side of the road, struck an embankment, overturned, struck the embankment again and came to rest on its wheels in the ditch.
Coffelt refused treatment at the scene and a private vehicle later transported her to Mosaic in Maryville. She was also arrested on requested charges that include driving while intoxicated-drugs, operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manor involving an accident and no seat belt, according to the MSHP.
