Janice M. (Mikota) Bauspies, 84, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2025 in St. Joseph, Mo.
Janice was born on March 31, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois.
Jan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Savannah and enjoyed singing in the choir for many years throughout her life. She served others volunteering at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. She cherished her friends, RV travel and attending life events with her 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert O Bauspies, Sr.
Jan is survived by her sister, Kay Paulin (Larry); three children, Robert O. Bauspies, Jr., Laurie Atwood (Kevin) and Melissa Powelson (Jeff); nine grandchildren, Tanya, Lindsey, Carissa (Ben), Micah, Kara (Keegan), and Jacob (Dakota) and ten great-grandchildren, Boone, Cali, Hunter, Jackson, James, Joshua, Kyah, Maddie, Mya and Peyton.
Mrs. Bauspies has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Savannah.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Savannah.
