Donald “Donnie” Ray Stock, 78, of Hoyt, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
He was born May 15, 1946 in Topeka, the son of Leo and Selma Workman Stock. He graduated from Seaman High School in 1964. He attended Allen County Community College for two years and then received his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science from Kansas State University.
Don was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hoyt and Steelworkers Local 307. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
He worked for Goodyear in Topeka for thirty-five years, retiring in 2003. He also farmed.
He married Glennis Robbins on February 10, 1973 in Topeka. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Cory Stock, Topeka, a daughter, Angie Smith and husband Mike, Topeka, one sister, Janet Stock, Wakarusa, an uncle, Paul Workman, and two grandchildren, Lindsey and Dalton Smith.
A visitation will be held for Don on Thursday, May 15th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Entombment of his urn will be at a later date in Mt. Hope Mausoleum in Topeka. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Hoyt or Midland Hospice, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 280, Hoyt, KS 66440.
