William Daniel “Danny” Harmer, 42, of Edgerton, MO passed away June 24, 2024 after a battle with cancer at his mom’s home.
He was born on May 4, 1982, in St. Joseph, MO. Danny grew up on the farm and in 2000, he graduated from East Buchanan High School in Gower. He also attended Hillyard’s and Missouri Western in St. Joseph.
Danny loved to hunt and fish, was an avid coin collector and photographer and especially loved building things. He also enjoyed writing poetry and wrote several poems for family and friends. Danny was always willing to help others and will be dearly missed.
He was a member of the Gower Christian Church and attended and volunteered at Camp Quality.
Danny was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Bill and Dorothy Jackson; his paternal grandparents Billy and Maxine Harmer and his aunt Brenda Wilder.
He is survived by his mother Brenda (Jackson) Harmer; his father John Harmer; his brothers Cory (Melissa) Harmer and Tim Huntsman; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service: 6:00 pm with Visitation following until 8 pm Monday, July 1st all at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower.
