Buchanan CO reports 2 additional COVID-19 deaths; hospitalizations spike

Two more coronavirus-related deaths have been reported for Buchanan County with Mosaic Life Care reporting a spike in COVID-19 hospitalizations.

St. Joseph health officials report two additional coronavirus-related deaths and 28 new cases of COVID-19 in Buchanan County, bringing the total county count up to 1,765. Buchanan County reports a total of 19 coronavirus-related deaths.

The St. Joseph Health Department identifies the deaths as a man in his 70's and a woman in her 80’s.

Mosaic Life Care reports 36 patients are now being treated for COVID-19 at its St. Joseph hospital, up 10 from Monday.

Mosaic has now tested nearly 29,000 area residents with 1,851 testing positive. Mosaic is awaiting results from 291 tests.

Andrew County reports 226 total cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. The county has recorded two coronavirus-related deaths.

Doniphan County, Kansas reports 87 total COVID-19 cases.

Missouri health officials report a total of 104,079 cases, resulting in 1,714 deaths.

Kansas reports 49,899 cases and 534 deaths.
