Mike McCurley, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025.
He was born October 11, 1941 to William D. and Nedra E. (Taylor) McCurley in Peoria, Illinois.
Mike enriched the lives around him with a career that spanned over two decades as a store manager at Woolworths, followed by a tenure in retail that demonstrated his profound understanding of the industry. He brought the same passion and expertise to Ag Processing, where he excelled as a lab technician before embarking on a new adventure with Mike's Landscaping after his retirement.
His love for flowers and landscaping was evident in the beauty he created and the green thumb he was known for. His commitment to faith was also strong, as a devoted member of the Riverside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jerry and William J. McCurley; nieces, Amy Darwent, Jody McCurley, and Kristin McCurley.
Survivors include his children, Dawn McCurley, Devi Harper, Doug McCurley, and Dina Daily; several grandchildren; brothers, Gregory McCurley (Connie) and George McCurley; sister-in-law, Paula McCurley; nieces, Karie, Cindy, Diane, and Renata; nephews, Andy, Billy, Matt, Mark, and Ben; numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside Farewell Services and Interment 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Riverside Baptist Church.
