A gala being held this weekend at the Albrecht Kemper Museum of Art will help raise funds for projects around the St. Joseph museum.
Executive Director Eric Fuson says this year’s theme for the Pot of Gold gala is Out of this World, an Intergalactic Gala
"Everything from some swirling planets above us to the lighting and the table settings that will just bring you into another enviornment that goes all the way through the whole gallery," Fuson tells host of the KFEQ Hotine Barry Birr.
Spokesperson Dansare Lawrence says the Pot of Gold gala is one of the biggest fundraisers the museum holds.
"Everyone who comes has the option to bid on our live and silent auctions and all of this helps the museum stay in operation," Lawrence explains. "It'g going to go towards the opening of our education department in the Carriage House, we have a lot of need for community support and so this is one of the biggest ways our community shows up for us."
Tickets can be purchased online to the gala or by contacting the museum. Doors open to the event at 5pm on Saturday.
