The City of Saint Joseph has announced a town hall informational meeting about the proposed data center on Pickett Road. The meeting was put together by the city to give city leaders and community members to get answers to questions raised about the development.
The meeting is set for 6 PM, Thursday, July 16th, at the Missouri Theater downtown.
Those in attendance will hear from project developers, their legal team, and utility partners.
The city specified the meeting is for information only. No council actions or decisions will be made at the event.
The owner of 6321 Pickett has submitted requests to annex approximately 130 acres into the City of St. Joseph and to rezone the property.
The first reading of the annexation and rezoning ordinances are tentatively scheduled for the August 17th City Council meeting. A public hearing on the rezoning request will also be held at that meeting. Second and final readings of both ordinances are tentatively scheduled for August 31.
