A traffic accident which the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports involves hazardous materials has forced the closure of a portion of Interstate 29 in Holt County.

I-29 is closed both north and southbound between mile marker 84 at Mound City and mile marker 75 at Oregon due to the vehicle crash.&nbsp; The roadway will continue to be closed for several more hours.&nbsp; Interstate traffic is currently being directed to use U.S. Route 59 around the closure.&nbsp; Drivers should follow all signage and law enforcement direction.
