Jeannette Kirkpatrick, 105, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025.
She was born April 8, 1920 in Oakland, California, to Herbert and Hanna (Ray) Rouzee. She left California as a small child and moved to St. Joseph, where she was raised by her Aunt Katie Rouzee.
Jeannette married Ernest Virgil Kirkpatrick on September 10, 1948. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2003.
An extremely religious person, Jeannette’s faith was very important to her. She was a First Reader at the Christian Science Church in St. Joseph from 1985 until the church moved.
Jeannette and Virgil formerly owned Kirkpatrick’s Ice Cream shop on Jules Street downtown.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Virgil; her parents; sister, Gladys; and her Aunt Katie Rouzee.
Jeannette is survived by her daughter, Patty Miller.
