Nancy Carol Grace, 96, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026 at a local health care facility.
She was born December 18, 1929 in St. Joseph, daughter of Berniece and Ray Jennings. She graduated from Benton High School. On June 18, 1948, she married Cecil Grace Jr. in St. Joseph. Nancy worked at the St. Joseph School District in the Food Service Department, retiring after many years. Following retirement, she enjoyed volunteering in the community with various organizations including the school district and the food kitchen. Nancy also enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, quilting, and sewing. She was a member of The Renew Church.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cecil Grace Jr., son, Steven Grace, and 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include: sons, Skip (Evelyn) Grace, Jim (Diane) Grace, Douglas (Carol) Grace, and Terry (Angie) Grace, all of St. Joseph, brother, Jack (Barb) Jennings of St. Joseph, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Grace has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Pastor Josh Coverette officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are requested to The Renew Church.
