Mo. woman injured in wrong-way crash with a semi

GRUNDY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 8a.m. Thursday in Grundy County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Ford Taurus driven by an 80-year-old Browning woman was westbound in the eastbound lanes of MO 6 three miles east of Trenton.  The car struck the towed unit of a 2016 Freightliner semi. After impact the car traveled ino the ditch on the north side of the road.

Grundy County EMS transported the 80-year-old driver to Wright Memorial Hospital. The semi driver, a 62-year-old St. Joseph man, was not injured.  Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.

S TRAVELING WESTBOUND IN THE EASTBOUND LANES OF MO6. VEH2 WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND ON MO6. VEH1 STRUCK VEH2'S TOWED UNIT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. VEH1 TRAVELED OFF THE NORTH SIDE OF THE ROADWAY COMING TO REST ON ITS WHEELS IN THE DITCH FACING WEST. VEH2 CAME TO A CONTROLLED STOP ON THE EASTBOUND SHOULDER OF MO6. ASSISTED BY SGT.
