Kirby D Waegele, 62, of Platte City and formerly of Savannah, MO passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at his home in Platte City. He was born to Donald and Darla (Dysart) Waegele on April 23, 1962 in St. Joseph, MO. He married Barbara DeRoin on May 6, 1988 in Bolckow, MO.
Kirby was soft spoken yet always had the right thing to say and the best advice. He was selfless, kindhearted, intelligent, and always knew how to make things more beautiful. His attention to detail, creativeness, willingness to help, and love for his family were simply unmatched. He lived for his family.
Kirby is survived by his wife, Barbara Waegele; father, Donald Waegele of Bolckow; children, Dana (Ricky) Calloway of Savannah, Krissy Walker of Savannah, and Brittanie (Ryan) Weinhaus of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren, Makenzie, Chase, Kaia, Kaden, Jacey, Brody, and Willow; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Waylon, and Macklin; brother, Chris Waegele of Bolckow; niece, Kelsey (Ryen) Phillips of Savannah; his three dogs, ZuZu, Tali, and Bobe. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and beloved pets, Koda and Bouncie.
Visitation and family receiving hour will be at 11:00am – 12:00pm Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be at 12:00pm Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow the services at Dysart Cemetery near Bolckow, MO. The Waegele’s home in Platte City will be open for Family and Friends following the Cemetery.
