Millie Anne Krebs passed away November 20, 2025.
Millie was born in St. Joseph, MO. The youngest child of Catey Justus, little sister to Conner, whom she loved very much, and Catey’s “Mini-Me”. Millie was a second grader at Maysville Elementary School, played summer baseball and was a Bantam Football cheerleader for the Wolverines. She attended preschool in Stanberry before continuing her education at Maysville Elementary. She lived her early years with her Aunt Joanna, Uncle Mike and cousin, Michael Kernes, first in St. Joseph, then in Stanberry, MO.
All who knew Millie fell in love with her. Her silliness, belly laughs, creativity, intelligence, orneriness, and the pure joy and love she shared drew everyone to her. She spent her time playing with dolls and Barbies, drawing, playing Minecraft, singing, dancing, playing outdoors, and writing little love notes to her family. “Mildred”, as she was affectionately called by her Grandma Jennifer, loved animals just as much as her mom did, never being afraid of any creature, great or small, and adored her doggies. Millie loved attending church and was a member of First Baptist Church Stanberry, and attended activities at First Baptist Church Maysville. Through both communities, Millie made many friends, young and old. Her heart, even so young, loved Jesus, her family and her friends with deep devotion.
She is lovingly remembered and survived by her brother, Conner Lillard, Cameron, MO; her father, Erich F. Krebs, Jefferson City, MO; grandmother, Jennifer Justus, Maysville, MO, and Kerry Krebs, PA; great-grandmother, Claire Krebs, MD; aunts, Joanna (Mike) Kernes, Stanberry, MO; uncles and aunts, Alan (Jackie) Krebs, Cameron, MO, John (Bobbie) Laur, PA, Amanda (Ryan) Flanagan-Hoffman, PA, Kate (Rick) Schmelyun, PA; Heather (Rick) Justus-Smith, St. Joseph, MO; uncles, Robert “BJ” Justus III, Cameron, MO; Adam Justus, Charleston, MO; cousins, Michael Kernes, Deven (Kristina) Hays, Brooke Hays, and Justine Hays, and Charlie, Crosby, Frankie, Callie, Cole, Nolan, Maisy, Max, Amelia, and Maverick, PA.
There are so many who feel the loss of Catey and Millie, and due to the outpouring of generosity and love, a memorial fund has been set up at Independent Farmers Bank, Maysville:
