Mosaic Life Care reporting increase in COVID-19 patients

St. Joseph health officials report 23 new cases of COVID-19 in Buchanan County since Friday, including 19 new cases Monday.

Buchanan County’s case total is now 10,492.

Mosaic Life Care is now reporting 10 COVID-19 inpatients - 9 in St. Joseph and one in Maryville. This is the first time in several weeks that Mosaic is reporting a double-digit amount of COVID patients.

Over 16,800 Buchanan County residents have initiated vaccination with more than 15,100 residents completing it.

The St. Joseph Health Department is holding a second mass vaccination clinic at Civic Arena Tuesday from 9-11 a.m.

Meanwhile, Over 4,300 people in Andrew County have initiated vaccination. Andrew County has not had a new COVID case since April 19.

In Doniphan County, Kansas, over 1,700 people have gotten their first dose of the vaccine.
