HOLT COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 8p.m. Tuesday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Aveo driven by Phillis E. Hayes, 61, Oregon, Mo., was southbound on U.S. 59 two miles south of Oregon.
The vehicle struck a deer, skidded onto the right shoulder, traveled down an embankment, struck trees and another embankment.
Atchison-Holt EMS transported Hayes to Mosaic Life Care. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
