3 hospitalized in St. Joe after SUV, car crash

DEKALB COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just before 5p.m. Tuesday in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Toyota Corolla driven by a 90-year-old Trenton woman was southbound on MO 31 at U.S. 36 three miles west of Stewartsville.

The car traveled into the path of a westbound 2019 Toyota Sequoia driven by a 48-year-old St. Joseph woman. The SUV struck the driver's side of the car. After impact the car traveled off the road and struck a highway sign. 

A private vehicle transported the driver of the SUV to Mosaic. DeKalb-Clinton ambulance transported the driver of the car and an 89-year-old male passenger to Mosaic in St. Joseph. All three were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.  The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
