Beverly Ann Homan, 91, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 in Atchison, KS. She was born September 3, 1932 in St. Joseph, daughter of Irene and Gaines Pearson. She graduated from Pickett School in 1950. She married Raymond "Jack" Homan on May 13, 1950 in their family home in St. Joseph. She devoted many years to raising her children and she was most proud to be Jack's wife. Some of her hobbies included gardening, knitting and baking and she loved her cats. She also was a proud grandmother and mother, and loved taking care of her family. Beverly was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is preceded in death by husband, Jack Homan in 2018, her parents, sons, Timothy, Joseph, and Mark Homan, brother, Melvin Pearson, sister, Linda Schilling, and a great-granddaughter, Amber Rose Shipley. Survivors include daughter, Deborah (Jim) Thompson of St. Joseph, son, Chad (Jennifer) Homan of Clinton Township, MI, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home. A private family Graveside Service and Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
