Rex Gaylord Pryor, 92, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024.
He was born November 29, 1931 in Fillmore, Missouri to Joseph and Lona (Burns) Pryor.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Rex married Fredia May Bauman on March 3, 1956. She survives of the home.
He was a truck driver for Crouch Brothers before starting his own business. Rex was a finesse heavy equipment operator and truck driver.
Rex enjoyed a good game of Pitch, but what he enjoyed even more was using his ornery sense of humor to tease people — whether it was family or complete strangers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy Joe Pryor and Bobby Brent Pryor; sister, Dora Elizabeth Ramsey; and son-in-law, Dave Pickett.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 69 years, Fredia; children, Vickie Pryor-Pickett, Bill Pryor, and Dee Pryor-Wolfram (Bruce Steltenpohl); grandchildren, Lauren Berry (Deric), Casey Taylor (Preston), Kyle Kotche (Clarisa), Samantha Wolfram, and Lindsey Steltenpohl; nine great-grandchildren; numerous other extended family members and friends.
Graveside Farewell Services and Inurnment 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Fillmore Cemetery. The family will meet at the cemetery.
