A motorcyclist lost control on the I-229 double-decker bridge in downtown St. Joseph Saturday night, causing a crash that took the motorcyclist’s life and left the rider on the bike with critical injuries.
St. Joseph police say the motorcyclist was riding south on I-229 when the motorcycle crashed. Both were thrown from the bike. Both were taken to the hospital. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead. The rider is being treated.
No identifications have been released. The investigation continues.
