Two members of the Benton Cardinals High School baseball team have earned All-Region honors during play in 16U USA Baseball
Porter McCarthy and Xander Tiller will be on the 16U Midwest team for USA Baseball's National Team Identification Series next month, from August 13th to the 16th, taking place in Cary, North Carolina. The Champions Cup features 12 teams per age group and athletes will participate in workouts and a championship-style tournament while also being evaluated by national team coaches and scouts.
Following the Champions Cup, USA Baseball will invite at least 72 athletes to the national team and National Team Development Program in the next calendar year.
