Clarence J. Jacobs, 86, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024.
He was born April 18, 1938, to Myrtle (Jacobs) Nussbaum in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force 1955-1959, and on June 24, 1960, he married his sweetheart Sandra McDowell. Bob retired in 2000 after working for 32 years as a maintenance mechanic for Wire Rope Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Lloyd Nussbaum; his daughter Patricia Lee Jacobs; his grandson Caleb Graham Smith; and his brother Albert L. Jacobs.
Survivors include his wife; daughter Cynthia A. Smith (Tayne) and son Jefferson L. Jacobs; grandsons Jefferson L. Jacobs II (Catherine), Matthew E. Jacobs (Laura), and Tayne A. Smith II; niece Linda Jacobs; nephews Mark Jacobs, Carlos Wuttke, and Michael Wuttke; plus seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will gather with friends 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 19, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
