After a year of waiting, the Liberty Oak Splash Park at Hyde Park in south St. Joseph is scheduled to open this Friday afternoon.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The public is welcome to attend the grand opening celebration which is scheduled for 4pm Friday. After the celebration, the community is welcome to experience the splash park for the afternoon and evening.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Beginning Saturday, Liberty Oak Splash Park will be open daily from 10am to 8pm. Hours will adjust later in the season&nbsp;to accommodate earlier&nbsp;nightfall.&nbsp;&nbsp;

This project was funded by the 2019 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) half-cent sales tax that was voted on,&nbsp;and approved by voters in 2018.&nbsp;&nbsp;
