The annual Pony Express Museum Day Camp returns this summer as the museum has announced the full schedule of dates and activities for participating students.
The 2026 camp 2026 will run July 13th through the 15th and July 20th through the 22nd, running from 8:45 am to 1 pm each of the three days. Participants will check-in at the Pony Express Event Center each day, located at 1222 South 10th Street from 8:15 to 8:40 am.
Students entering grade the first through the sixth grades in the fall of 2026 are eligible for participation in the day camp. The cost is $45 per camper, which covers the cost of a T-shirt and all supplies. There are a limited number of scholarships available as well.
During the day camps, the Pony Express Museum will celebrate the 250th anniversary of America, joining together for fun times as class groups.
“Be one of 160 students to learn about time-period events and the story of how the Pony Express fits into American history!" Museum Executive Director Cindy Daffron says in a news release
The Education Committee has planned a new series of historical learning for the campers. Day Camp “Harness the Trails” includes educational games, 1860s arts and crafts, and surprises.
