A foreign national from the United Kingdom was arrested Monday in Chillicothe, after the suspect traveled there with intent to alarm a local family.
At this time, the Chillicothe Police Department has submitted two felony charges to Livingston County's Prosecuting Attorney. The arrest was assisted by Northwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force, who are also investigating additional charges related to possessing child exploitation and sexual abuse materials.
The information comes from a press release from the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, who assisted as part of that task force. Investigations are still ongoing.
