David F. Brunner, 59, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 at his home. He was born September 15, 1965 in St. Joseph, son of Sarah and Jack Brunner.
Dave graduated from Chillicothe High School, class of 1983. He married Tammy Blanton on August 17, 1991 in St. Joseph. Dave worked at Boehringer Ingelheim, where he was a Packaging Process Improvement Specialist. He was noted by his co-workers for being a continuous improvement expert with an exceptional eye for detail and creativity. Dave loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was an avid archery hunter, but when it came to rifle hunting, he was known as "Two Shot." He was a friend to many, an excellent leader and wonderful mentor. Dave had a way of making people smile and always had contagious positive energy. He was a proud father of his kids, a fun "Uncle Dave" and the best "Papa." Dave was also a proud member of the Tennessee Squire Club.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Survivors include wife, Tammy Brunner of the home, children, Quinton Brunner (Nicole Greer) of Lenexa, KS, Cameron (Sarai) Brunner of Kansas City, MO, and Melissa Blanton (Jason Claycomb) of St. Joseph, his siblings, Belinda (Steve) Dominique of Excelsior Springs, MO, Mike Brunner (Lynn Smolich) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Tamie (John) Quigley of Eldon, MO, and Jackie Hutchinson, grandchildren, Jaylee, Macy, Jerzey, Triston, Annabelle, Ezekiel, Henry, and Uriah, numerous nieces and nephews, and his group of several close "Buddies", especially his brother-in-law, Dusty Butler.
Mr. Brunner has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at later date.
