Larry C. Browning, 78, of St. Joseph, passed away on October 5, 2023. Larry was born on January 15, 1945 in Fairfax, MO, to Francis Cameron and Elsie Browning.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was an avid collector of antiques, guns, and military memorabilia. Photos of his collection were included in the book "Collection of the Edged Weapons of the Third Reich Volume I ".
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his sisters Sharon Womach, who was his caregiver for 27 years, and Rita Feller and husband Dan of Lee Summit, MO; nephews, Brian McCarty, Eric McCarty, Todd Vandenberg, and Shawn Vandenberg.
Special thanks to AseraCare Hospice team and the staff of the Oregon Care Center. They went above and beyond in the care they provided to Larry.
Graveside services with military honors will be Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Fairfax, MO.
