ATCHISON —Two people were injured in an accident just after 2p.m. Friday in Atchison.
According to Police Chief Mike Wilson, a Mercury Marquis 4 door passenger car driven by Malachi Burnett, 20, Atchison, was southbound on 15th Street when it collided with a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Robert Burgoon, 64, Atchison, that had been westbound on Commercial Street.
EMS transported Burnett to Amberwell Hospital for examination. A private vehicle transported a 36-year-old female passenger in the pickup to Amberwell Hospital.
