NODAWAY COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 3p.m. Sunday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford F150 driven by an 18-year-old Maitland man was eastbound on Route A at Pumpkin Center. The driver failed to yield after stopping at the posted stop sign at U.S. 71. A southbound 2012 Ford Escape driven by a 43-year-old Bernard woman struck the drivers side of the pickup.
Nodaway County EMS transported the driver and a passenger from the Ford to Mosaic Life Care. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP. The teen pickup driver was not injured.
The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
