Ronald Brad Kossen, 60, of Platte City, passed away on July 23rd, 2024, with his family lovingly by his side.
Ron was born October 28th, 1963, in Springfield, MO, to Charles Ronald and Judith Ann (Delashmit) Kossen.
Ron was a 1982 graduate of Platte County High School in Platte City, MO. He was artistically talented and loved music, singing, drawing, and creating displays of the things he loved (evident to anyone that has seen his garage). Ron was also an avid car enthusiast. It didn’t matter if he was driving his favorite, a Corvette convertible, or an old Chevy S-10… he loved it all the same.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, Charles Kossen; brother, Bart Kossen; sister-in-law, Robin Kossen, and niece Kristina Lawrence.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Deanna (Thomson) Kossen; son Brad (Anna) Kossen; daughter Jessica (Kossen) Alvizo; grandchildren, Aiden Charles Kossen, Dominic Alexander Alvizo, and Francis Marie Kossen; mother, Judy Kossen; siblings, Bill Kossen, Brett (Beth) Kossen; Leeia Kossen; and Zachary (Gaylene) Kossen; many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Services will be held Friday, August 2nd at Rollins Funeral Home in Platte City, MO. Visitation at 6:00 p.m., followed by a simple memorial service. The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held later.
