Frances Y. Pierce, 91, Stanberry, MO passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at a Stanberry, MO nursing home.
She was born on June 18, 1934 in Stanberry, Missouri the daughter of George and Mable (Hill) Long.
On December 19, 1952, she married Denzil L. Pierce at the Alanthus Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1981.
Frances was a graduate of Stanberry High School in 1952. She and Denzil lived in San Diego, California while he was in the service and eventually settled in Kansas City, MO. She was all about family, anytime, anywhere.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Frances is survived by her son, Gregory Alan Pierce; daughter, Pamela Susan Pierce; grandchildren, Alexandra Rose Pierce and Garrett Alan Pierce; brother, Eldon Long (June); sister-in-law, Jo Ellen Wochner (Jim); and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 9 in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday at Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stanberry Senior Center in care of Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry.
