Tracie Stevenson, 63, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
She was born on March 27, 1962 to Ronnie and Sharon (Maxey) Stevenson in her hometown, St. Joseph.
Tracie was a beacon of love and a friend to all with boundless affection, and a deep-rooted sense of community.
After earning her GED, she worked in various factories, demonstrating a work ethic that was both admirable and inspiring. However, it was her role as a school bus driver that truly captured her essence; behind the wheel, she was more than a driver – she was a guardian and a confidant to the children she transported daily. When injury led her to leave the workforce, Tracie embraced her disability with grace, channeling her nurturing spirit into her family and her pets.
With a heart as expansive as the horizon, Tracie's life revolved around her beloved grandkids and her cherished cats. She found immense joy in the simplicity of seeing her grandchildren tear open their Christmas gifts.
Her compassion extended beyond her immediate family to every life she touched. Tracie Stevenson never met a stranger; instead, she met future friends. Her extraordinary ability to remember names, inquire sincerely about others' well-being, and offer a shoulder or a helping hand was the cornerstone of who she was.
Her legacy is encapsulated in the countless stories of her kindness and the silent acts of love she spread across her community.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sharon in 2008.
Survivors include her daughter Brandie Burgess (JD), her son Spencer Williams (Rachael), her father Ronald and Marge, her grandkids Tayber, RJ (Gracie), Klaudia (Josh), Morgan and Kyler, and her sister Marcy.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M., Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
