The first one was a 12-play, 87-yard drive in 5:28, capped by a 5-yard touchdown pass to Jody Fortson. The second was a 12-play, 82-yard drive that took 5:25 and was capped by a 7-yard touchdown to, yet again, Fortson.

Mahomes finished 12 of 19 for 162 yards. Justin Watson continued to make his case for a spot on the final 53 man roster, hauling in two big passes from Mahomes for 53 yards.  To go with his two touchdown catches, Fortson also hauled in two more passes to go four catches for 19 yards

After missing the final two training camp practices in St. Joseph wide receivers JuJu Smith Schuster and Mecole Hardman, defensive tackle Chris Jones, and tight end Blake Bell were inactive for the game.  The Chiefs also saw cornerback Rashad Fenton leave the game with a groin injury.

The Chiefs have one final preseason game on Thursday when they host the Green Bay Packers.  Pregame will be at 6:oo pm and kickoff at 7:00pm on 680/95.3 KFEQ and Q-Country 92.7.
