Jody I. Wysling, 61, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 in St. Joseph. She was born November 13, 1962 in St. Joseph, daughter of Barbara and Billie Peery. She graduated from Elwood High School, class of 1981. She worked as a CNA. She enjoyed reading and gardening and was an avid Chiefs fan.
Jody was preceded in death by mother, Barbara Childers, husband, Michael Wysling. Survivors include father, Billie Gene (Deborah) Peery of Fremont, NE, daughter, Stormy Laun of St. Joseph, son, Anthony Wysling of St. Joseph, sister, Billie (Karl) Butler of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Selena Gillespie and Devon Laun.
Ms. Wysling has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Southern Roots Event Center, 239 Illinois Ave. An joint inurnment with her husband Michael will take place at a later date at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
