Robert L. "Bob" Harris, 76, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. He was born December 9, 1946 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Edith (Harbord) Harris. He graduated from Central High School, and enlisted in the US Army, and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his service in the Army, he drove a truck for Henderson Trucking, and later for OATS Transportation. Bob enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, going dancing and singing. He especially loved spending time with his kids. Bob was preceded in death by mother, Edith Harris, wife, Marla Harris, and sister, June Craig. Survivors include: children, Amanda (Gerald) Rogers of Leavenworth, KS, Jason (Rhonda) Harris of Tonganoxie, KS, Jennifer (Jonathan) Smith of Rushville, MO, Kari (Timothy) Bartram of St Joseph, and their mother and his former wife, Linda Tull of Atchison, KS, his sister, Sharon Brown of Lawrence, KS, 18 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Mr. Harris will be cremated following services.
