Customers at Westlake Ace Hardware in St, Joseph rounded up their purchases to support residents in need of a way to cool off this summer to support The Salvation Army Fan Drive.
During the drive, which ran from May 18th through June 6th, the store raised $865 in donations, which will provide 54 box fans for distribution to The Salvation Army. The fans will help seniors, families in need and other residents stay cool over the summer.
Throughout the years of the drive, the Ace retail group has provided more than 78,000 fans to Salvation Army locations across the country. Residents needing assistance are encouraged to contact The Salvation Army, located at 602 Messanie St., for availability and distribution information.
