The city of St. Joseph Health Department reports four additional COVID-19 related deaths over the holiday weekend, bringing the death toll in Buchanan County to 128.

Three of the victims were men, one in his 70's and two in their 80's. The other victim was a female in her 90's.

The department also reports 183 new cases in Buchanan County since Dec. 23, bringing the county total to 8,160. The number of patients hospitalized with COVID continues to drop. There's now 53 Buchanan County residents hospitalized with COVID - a decrease of five since last Wednesday.

The seven-day testing positivity rate in Buchanan County stands at 12.75%, which is down from the 25.49% peak set the week of Nov. 11.
