John Wayne Lamb, 71, of Smithville, MO passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024.
He was born on September 30, 1953, to Charles Albert and Dorthy (White) Lamb in Wagram, North Carolina. John grew up in Smithville and graduated from Smithville High School.
John worked for several car dealerships in the area before becoming owner of Autos Plus in Smithville until his retirement. After his retirement he enjoyed running his beagles. John was an avid sports fan and coached his sons in youth baseball for many years. Most of all he loved attending his grandchildren’s activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Lamb and Dorthy Lamb; his step-mother Vita Lamb; his grandparents who raised him Ellis and Byrda Baker; brothers Charlie Lamb, Al Lamb and Pete Lamb; his daughter Kimberly Lamb and the mother of his children Carol Lamb.
John is survived by his significant other Linda Day; his sons Lance Lamb and wife Ryann and Scott Lamb; grandchildren Tyler, Brody, Tanner, Lacey; step-grandchildren Cameron and Brody; honorary granddaughter Daisy; great-grandchildren Kaedon and Delilah; sisters Cheryl Lamb and Linda Cooke; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 4:30-7:00 p.m. with Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21st at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
