Alice Maxine Guinn 91, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in St. Joseph. She was born November 17, 1931 in St. Joseph, daughter of the late, Emma & Frank Steele.
She graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School, and worked at Missouri Western State University for 30 years as a financial coordinator. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, loved college sports, and was a huge KU and Chiefs fan.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry Dean Guinn, son, Donald Lee Guinn, sisters, Jessie Ide and Rosemary Garrish, brothers, Albert, Harry, Otis, and Frank Steele.
She is survived by son, Dean (Dodie) Guinn of Kansas City, MO, daughter, Dianne Guinn (Phil Gloggner) of Platte City, MO, grandson, Cameron Narburgh, granddaughters, Alicia Guinn and Carlysle Burkholder, and great-granddaughter, Kali Bunton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home, a private family Graveside Service will follow.
