David Gregg Carlock, 73, beloved partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025. Born Nov. 14, 1952, son of Roy and Cleo Carlock. He attended St. Johns Military Academy, where he graduated.
He was a carpenter in his early days and later built a career in insurance sales from which he retired. Spending the last of his working days as a sales associate at Walmart. Outside of work, David enjoyed building things, decorating for the holidays, fishing when he could, and caring for his home and family.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Roy and Cleo Carlock and his eldest son, Johnathan David. He is survived by his life partner Darlene Meyer; his children, David James Carlock and Bridget Johnson; and the mother of his children, Rita Carlock. David leaves behind nine grandchildren Jesse Andrade II, Calais Johnson, Alaina Fahnestock, Mercedes Lashbrook, Kale Andrade, Douglas Carlock, Mila Andrade, Colin Johnson, Aaliyah Carlock, Alexis Carlock and two great-grandchildren, Daniel James Carlock and Callum Glenn Fahnestock. All of whom he loved and cherished deeply. David will be missed and lovingly remembered. May he rest in peace.
Visitation is set for Friday, December 5th, from 10-11 AM, at Rollins Funeral Home, 1106 East Branch Street, Platte City, MO. Services will follow at 11.
