Russell J. Widner, 84, Darlington, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025.
He was born May 12, 1940 to James and Rose (Strus) Widner in Winamac, Indiana.
Russell married Sandra Louise Birge in 1963.
Russell honorably served in the United States Army for four years, a time during which he was stationed in West Germany. A true sportsman, he was happiest when hunting or fishing.
He was a loving husband and father. His affection for his Brittany Spaniels knew no bounds. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be profoundly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; children, Tracy Widner (Lisa) and Robert Widner (Betty Ann); grandchildren, Candice Wittmann (Patrick), Juliane Henderson (Jeff), Kenny Pablo, Ray Pablo, and Shayna Pablo; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
