Rocky McGeorge, 67, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on January 7, 1958, to Lloyd Edwin McGeorge and Reva Ann Gregory in Bakersfield, California.
Rocky graduated from high school and soon after, working at BASF where he diligently served as a fermentation technician for 30 years before retiring in March of 2022. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his family and his passion for the great outdoors.
He married Paula Ritter on February 9, 2001 in St. Joseph, Missouri, on February 10th they took their first cruise and enjoyed many more cruises together.
Rocky was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Candace Keithley
He is survived by his wife, Paula; sons, Tony Ritter (Kelly Phelan) and Mitchell Crump (Tessa); granddaughter Hallie Law. His siblings, Dixie Glaub (Dan), Carl McGeorge (Julie), and Sherri Ruskin.
Rocky's love for camping, tending to fires, gardening, and many cruises together with his wife, Paula, reflected his appreciation for nature's serenity and simplicity.
Services 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Simplify Cremations & Funerals, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment Ashland Cemetery.
