BUCHANAN COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Friday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Sandra K. Groce, 54, St. Joseph, was southbound on Interstate 29 three miles south of Faucett.
The vehicle was traveling too fast for conditions and began to skid. It traveled off the east side of the road, struck a guard rail, reentered the road, crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2017 Ford F250 driven by Kevin D. Banks, 42, Houston, TX.
Buchanan County EMS transported Groce and a passenger in the Hyundai Tammy S. Stains, 52, to Mosaic Life Care. Banks was not injured. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
