Patricia "Pat" Glidewell, 90, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Pat was born on October 18th, 1935 to Irene (Summers) Clemens and step-father Earl Clemens in St. Joseph, Missouri; where she grew up, attending Lafayette High School, graduating in the class of 1953.
Pat was united in marriage to Dale Glidewell on September 24th, 1954. After meeting at Noma-Lites, the couple was often challenged that the relationship would not last, after marrying only 2 weeks after meeting. They celebrated 55 years of marriage, until his passing in 2009. From this union the couple welcomed seven sons: Rod, Dave, Mike, Rick, Randy, Tim, and Jim. The family resided in St. Joseph, where they raised their family.
Pat spent many years raising her growing family, before going to work for K-Mart.
Survivors of Pat are her sons, Rod (Nema), Dave (Andrea), Mike (Susan), Rick (Melanie), Randy (Lisa), Tim (Bonnie), and Jim (Ann). Grandchildren, Eric Glidewell, Nick Glidewell (Tatum), Jason Glidewell (Stacy), Jennifer Frailey (Matt), Josh Glidewell, Janelle Musser (Kyle), Lexie Marshall (Ryan), Tristan Benedict (Gan), Kane Glidewell (Jackie), MacKenzie McKnight (Tyler), Madison Johnson (Jake), Jordan Glidewell (Sarah) and, Morgan Glidewell. Great-Grandchildren: Jaycie, Jaden (Kristinia), Jensen, Maddox, Estella, Hudson, Harper, Hayden, Caleb, Katelyn, Claire, Elle, Madi, Tuesday, Dash, Ila, Scarlett, Genevieve, Henry, Mac, Penny, August, Jackson, Joslynn, Jahmarkus, Jahmiya, and Jerzi. And great-great-grandchild Rosy. Additionally many step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by parents, husband Dale, daughter-in-law Tracy Glidewell, and grandson Corey Glidewell.
Funeral services for Pat will be held on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025 at 12:00 Noon at Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel, officiated by Celebrant, Rex Strayer. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery in St. Joseph, Missouri.
The family suggests in lieu of floral arrangements, memorial donations be directed to Mosaic Life Hospice, of St. Joseph, Missouri. The family thanks the Mosaic Life Hospice Team for the care that was given to Pat under their direction.
